Jessica just broke up with her boyfriend when she realized the he cheated on her and to help her get over him, she moves to stay with three men as room mates. The three men are Nick who is a bartender, Winston who is a former basketball player and Schmidt who is a professional present day Casanova. Jess also has a friend by the name Cece.

New Girl 1.24 “See Ya” Review

On this week’s episode, the 1st season finale of New Girl we saw a lot of characters going through vital milestones and stepping stones in their lives. Because when we are young, at the late 20’s or early 30’s we are faced with a set of important milestones that can be scary and dark, but they are vital for our growth and character development in this life. And on this season of New Girl, we have witnessed a lot of characters growing and developing throughout the season. Although it was a good episode, but “See Ya” was kind of frustrating, as it was basically a few steps backwards for a lot of important storylines, it could have been way better.

For starters, the whole storyline concerning Nick’s decision regarding moving out or no ended with him refusing the moving out option. He is basically the character that suffered the most and had a lot of problems during his growing up phase. This struggle with growing up has presented us with one of the best storylines that were both interesting and funny. This is why it was very surprising that he decided not to move in with Caroling, because such decision would be the final proof and the most solid one that he was became a mature man who takes mature decision, but seems like he will be stuck in the phase he is in forever. On the other hand, such decision may have been the more mature option, as he refused to take the easy road that was presented to him and was afraid that this could lead to a disturbed relationship, it is still not unclear which route did the writers go. Whatever their intntion was, it didn’t quite show. Bottom of line is there is still more to happen in the whole arc involving the relationship between Caroline and Nick. Bottom of line, there are still a lot more to come regarding the relationship between these two.

Another thing that really grabber every viewer’s attention was the relationship involving Jess and Nick. It is very obvious that they are totally in love for each other, the signals they send it pretty clear and obvious for everyone. For example it was very clear that when Jess pretended to be throwing those keys that there was some kind of target behind such act. She said that during the hang out, they were having fun, but really, no one produces a crisis in order to simply have fun.
